"Strong, secure and ready for the roundup."
The Roper is an aluminum stock combo gooseneck livestock trailer for the rancher, the showman, and the rider.
The Roper is designed to appeal to three niche markets. First the trailer works well for ranches needing to carry equipment to the feedlot or range when working cattle. Secondly the Roper is perfectly suited for cattlemen who show cattle – All the necessary gear can be kept separate in the secure tack room from the livestock hauling area. The recreational rider is the third market the Roper appeals to. The Roper can be used as a horse trailer for ropers and pleasure riders yet have the toughness to double as a cattle hauler.
The patented catch allows the rear door to be slammed closed and secured. When closing the rear door, the spring-loaded catch grabs ahold of the rear door, allowing the operator more time to engage the lock rod and secure the door the rest of the way shut. Feel more confident and more protected with the new Slam Catch.
With the Roper's aluminum sub frame not only are the weight savings big, there are no painted steel sub frame components under the trailer to lose paint, cause rust or electrolysis…the enemy of aluminum trailers.
Wilson Trailer incorporates embossments into the smooth areas of their stock trailer's side panels. With thorough testing and customer feedback, the embossments have proven to greatly increase the panel's strength and ability to resist denting. Visual appeal is also enhanced, making Wilson goosenecks supreme, long-lasting trailers.
Wilson pioneered the concept of a fully riveted gooseneck trailer to the market. Riveted construction allows the trailer to flex when needed without the worry of cracking welds.
On the inside of the trailer, the embossments have a minimal depth so animal waste will not adhere to them. The trailers remain easy to clean out, maintain and have better bio-security.
The smooth interior walls are also better to help guard against animal bruising than interior slat side designs.
Precision-formed vertical posts are spaced closer together for extra strength. One of the industry's most unified body designs.
Wilson uses the hardest alloy available with the highest diamond tread height to create a long-lasting floor with excellent traction for livestock. The Roper is standard .110 flat floor supported with 9" crossbar spacing. (9" U tube spacing is also optional.) Corrugated flooring on 9" spacing is also available.
The versatile tack room is available with either a straight or slanted wall. Access into the nose area from the tack room creates even more convenient storage space.
A lockable tack room door keeps all your gear secure and out of the elements. Both the tack room door and the additional door can be located on the trailer's driver or curbside. An optional porch light illuminates the tack room's entry area.
Roof skin stretched to maximum efficiency makes it uncommonly tough for extra life.
Wilson manufactures their heavy-duty gates with fully framed aluminum construction and hinge grease zerks to reduce wear, operate more smoothly, and last longer. The full-width hinges reduce sag, lessen movement in the sidewalls, and provide for stiffer connections.
Water, road dirt, gravel, and animal waste – Nothing can easily get to and damage the trailer's wiring. It's enclosed and protected.
Wilson divide gates are designed with minimal deflection so they will remain reliable and easy to operate for the life of the trailer. There are several divide gate choices and we have posted the most popular ones here
Each rear end is custom built to order and includes standard features most often requested by owners who are looking for ease of operation, extra strength, and dependable quality.
